Countertops Design and Installation in Michigan

The first question most potential customers ask is: "What is SileStone®?" Well, simply put, Silestone® is an engineered stone that closely resembles natural granite and marble. It looks, weighs, and feels like natural stone - its composition is 93% natural minerals, so SileStone® captures the natural beauty and feel of genuine stone.

However, SileStone® is stronger and harder than natural stone surfaces (granite) or solid plastic surfaces (Corian®). And because it is competitively priced with those products, SileStone®, installed by SileStone® of Dallas, is unquestionably the best choice for your stone-surfacing needs!

SILESTONE'S ORIGIN AND COMPOSITION

Natural quartz and silica sand aggregates are combined with compound binders and pigments through a high-tech process. This process, called vacuum vibro-compaction, creates a unique, hard material that is highly dense and dimensionally consistent. This advanced manufacturing process results in a highly non-porous material that does not require sealers to maintain its attractive finish in a like-new state.

SILESTONE'S ADVANTAGES

Simply put, SileStone® outperforms every other stone-surfacing material on the market today, from granite to marble. Without a doubt, one of its most attractive points is its beauty and flexibility. SileStone's® chief advantage lies in its extreme durability:
• SileStone® is stain resistant. It is a non-porous material and does not stain like marble or granite.
• SileStone® is heat and burn resistant. It does not warp or burn like solid surface materials.
• SileStone® is scratch and wear resistant. It is composed of natural quartz, nature's fourth-hardest substance, and it is almost impossible to scratch.

SileStone® is non-porous, which means it absorbs no liquid at all (unlike granite or marble surfaces), so it is ideal for use in areas prone to spills and stains, such as bathrooms in the home or commercial sites, such as laboratories and hospitals. Its hardness and thermal ratings are many times that of marble and solid surfacing materials, so it takes all the wear and tear you can dish out - and remains beautiful!

SILESTONE'S AT HOME OR IN THE OFFICE

Are you building a brand-new home and trying to decide on surfacing for your kitchen, entryway, and bathrooms? Are you doing some remodeling and wondering how best to increase your home's value? Are you setting up an office and wondering how best to enhance ts look and feel? Or do you have a commercial site, such as a medical office, that demands a durable, impermeable surface? Whatever your stone-surfacing needs, the beauty of SileStone® is its ability to handle every surfacing job you can imagine - and some you hadn't thought of! Just take a look at how SileStone® is applicable in the following areas:

SileStone's® non-porous surface requires only the simplest clean-up: Soap and water do the job just fine, as does an all-purpose liquid cleaner. Unlike solid surface products that require sanding to remove tough stains, spills don't soak into SileStone®, making clean-up a breeze.

Unlike marble and granite, which require special sealers for proper maintenance, SileStone® needs no maintenance beyond routine care. Because it is resistant to virtually all hazards and wear, no sealants, impregnators, or conditioners are necessary to keep your SileStone® surfaces like new!
